James 3:13-18 NIV
Two Kinds of Wisdom
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness
The scripture reflection;
By comparing God showing us the definition of wisdom, I noticed our human interesting extreme being.
When we are pursuing our so-called wisdom, we use our earthy standard as a human perspective. We try to make things in order, be wise. Still, indeed, we are carrying our double side of a standard like what we do between our actual daily life and what we presented on social media. We all ego in some way.
I try to figure out the punching hole on paper like we have a lot of potential on our pursuing, we can stitch in freely as we thought we are open-minded. The double face of the stitching turns out to show some hidden fact of our life which we never have both sides perfectly done. Sometimes we need to embrace our messy selves. But for me, I am embracing my both side of work, and I see they all have their unique beauty.
Though we all are imperfect, we are only human. That’s why we need Jesus.
